Ultra Nostalgia, a curated collection
Guest curators share the art that influences their creative lives. In our Guest Curator series, we feature a local tastemaker in Canada and share their favourite works of art on Partial.
"Did I borrow this title from Frank Ocean? Perhaps - but those words describe the ephemeral nature of this collection. These pieces in their own way capture a fleeting moment – a snapshot just before elevator doors close; a baseball stadium on a quiet, pristine day (and with signage of its former name); the moment shifting shapes stop and create colour in their overlaps; a brief flash of lilac light. There is loss but the memory is remembered warmly."
